Strincheap March 10 delegates from Amherst Brown and Dartmouth gather for the annual convention. Harvard has resigned and Yale and Princeton are expected to follow. Dartmouth will reclaim its former league place as Amherst Brown Williams and Dartmouth form the association unless another college joins.

In Louisville a man posing as E. H. Horner a banker from 65 Wall Street New York sold foreign bonds on an instalment plan. He offered sets of five bonds for 100 with weekly payments of 5 for twenty weeks. After first payment he vanished. A New York dispatch notes no broker or commercial contact for him and lists a Broadway office. Prices for various bonds were advised by a New York correspondent.
In New Brunswick New Jersey March 10 police uncovered the decomposed bodies of Cornelius and Robert Denmead in a subterranean hovel after authorities entered the home of the wealthy Denmead family. John Denmead and Samuel Denmead were arrested as a coroner's jury investigates deaths. John claims the brothers died weeks ago and buried them to keep Samuel from burying them. Samuel resisted when bathed in jail washroom.
Four cases of smallpox were reported in New York City today. The infections were in crowded areas of the Maal side, according to city health officials.
