Sugar Trust Questions From Sugar Trust Hearings
The House committee on manufactures resumed its inquiry into the sugar trust with attorney Parsons on the stand. He testified that price increases were not from the agreement, refineries were bought by board members, and stock transfers occurred. He explained the eleven trustee limit and noted 70 percent of trust capitalization was real property while 30 percent was patents and goodwill.
