Isaac Beresowsky aged 36 prominent Hebrew scholar and bookseller in Boston died yesterday at 8 PM at his home 8 Barton Street after six weeks illness. Born in Russia he came to Boston twelve years ago as a writer of the holy scrolls and later prospered in the book trade. He was active in synagogue affairs and member of Cherem Israel among others. He leaves a widow and five children.

Hay Shed Fire Rages Through Freight Warehouse

The hay fire began in doors 6 to 9 of the freight shed and spread rapidly. District Chief Chesweill and multiple alarms brought twenty one engines and eight ladder companies to fight the blaze. Firemen battled burning hay, collapsing roof timbers, and water soaked bales throughout the night, with efforts aimed at preventing spread beyond the masonry partition at doors 56 and 6.
