The company declares a regular quarterly dividend of 114 percent and reports a quarterly surplus of 247125 dollars, up from 230262 dollars in 1892.

Felix Duggan was working in a quarry off Howard Avenue Roxbury when a dynamite cartridge prematurely exploded. He suffered facial injuries and was taken to City Hospital. Duggan, 88, lives at 102 George Street Roxbury.

Miss Julia Hall daughter of Russell Hall banker of New Canaan New Canaan resident recently confined to the insane asylum committed suicide by stepping in front of a fast moving train on the Connecticut Valley division of the New York New Haven and Hartford Railway in Middletown She had wandered from home twice last November causing local searches and this morning while walking with an attendant she abruptly rushed toward the tracks and was killed instantly with her body mangled beyond recognition.
