Charles Buonanno, 50, of Kneeland Street, was struck and killed just after midnight at Columbus Avenue and Berkeley Street when a limousine skidded onto the sidewalk to avoid another car. Admiral Fremont Dies at Charlestown Navy Yard
Rear Admiral John C. Fremont the Charlestown yard commandant and son of General John C. Fremont died suddenly at 8:20 last night in his home at the yard after a stroke. He became ill toward evening and could not attend a dinner, leaving Mrs. Fremont to go alone with their daughters.
