Edmund Woodside of Medford, an 18 year old bookkeeper for Schwarzschild Sulzberger at 5 North Market street, vanished with 2200 dollars in money and checks ten days ago. He was arrested yesterday afternoon in a house on Massachusetts avenue by police inspectors.
The report follows a Medford young man who vanished after receiving $2200 including 250 in money for deposit at Shawmut National Bank. He returned to Boston then was found in New York and later reappeared in Medford. He faces arraignment on larceny charges after police found only 2 dollars on him.
Jacob Davison, 14, of 28 Glenway Street, Dorchester, was struck by a car said to be driven by George E. Lawrence, 120 Purchase Street. He was hurled several feet and sustained severe head and shoulder injuries. the driver fled the scene. Davison was returned to his home.

Marblehead residents report that ex State Senator James J. H. Gregory left a trust fund of 1000 dollars in his will, probated in Salem, to provide income to the mothers of twins born in Marblehead. The philanthropist and seed man ensured these mothers receive recognition for past contributions.
Testator Gregory leaves 1000 to Marblehead for poor mothers with twins and to aid children. Income to be shared if multiple births, houses not owned by parents, twins live to three months. Pennsylvania State Federation of Labor President Greenwall announced a statewide general strike to be declared at the Newcastle biennial meeting. Strikers cited walkouts of non union workers as strong encouragement and unorganized labor rallied to support the movement.
Philadelphia officials report that 18 407 workers were on strike citywide after the first day of a general sympathy strike in support of transit conductors and motormen. Police canvass of industrial plants and employers informs the tally. the figure is described as careful and complete.
Joseph D. Fallon a long time judge of the South Boston District Court must appear in the equity session of the Superior on Thursday to show why he should not be held in contempt for advertising in Boston papers that John H. Cullen ex teller of the Union Institutions for Savings, of which Fallon is president, had taken 1200 dollars but that the bank would not lose anything as it held Cullen's bond for 2000 dollars. Fallon also stated in the ad that credit would be denied to anyone but bank officials for the alleged defalcation discovery.
The petition accuses Judge Fallon of biased publicity hurting Cullen’s right to a fair grand jury and trial. Walsh and DA Pelleter and Judge Wait discussed the matter before filing. Fallon says he will obey the court and notes his ad notices were meant to inform bank depositors of the bank’s status.

He named associates Big Bill Kellner Martin Walsh and an unnamed Jack and asserted innocence for Wilson Lockhart.
