Burke Defeats Hooper In Brookline Water Commissioner Race
Timothy Burse, chairman of the Brookline Water Board, won the town election on nomination papers defeating George Hooper 1807 to 676. The ballot had only Water Commissioner and liquor license questions, yielding a light vote. The town voted no license 1286 to 1865.
