Fire at Sigourney House causes multiple arson areas

Hartford March 3 fire at Sigourney House a large boarding house shows it was set in five rooms on three floors. Nearly forty residents slept as flames extended through dining room. Insurance on furniture totals 11,000 with excess value noted. Lease ends on the 15th. In Philadelphia a factory on Sixteenth and Carpenter streets burned totally at about 8 pm with stock loss around 20,000, part insured. In Scranton fire destroyed several buildings including Odd Fellows Hall and Hyde Park Hotel amid water shortages. loss about 7,000 with very limited insurance.
