Escaped lunatic from Worcester asylum returns to city

William M. Atwood, 48, formerly an inmate of Worcester Insane Hospital, escaped five years after admission and walked to the city yesterday. He entered Station 4 at 10 45 pm claiming to be an escaped lunatic and was confirmed by Worcester police. He will be sent back to the asylum this morning.

Boys Planned Train Wreck in Greenwich Scheme

Five boys aged 10 to 19 confessed to a plan to wreck a New York, New Haven & Hartford train and plunder the dead. Ringleader was 14 year old Stephen Yoski. The intended target carried a club car with wealthy riders including William Rockefeller and E. Benedict en route to Stamford and Greenwich.

Two High School Boys Rescued After Beaver Brook Capsize

Emmett E. St. George and Carlyle Smith, both 17, nearly drowned when their canoe capsized in Beaver Brook in Waltham.
