Lawrences vs Boston Blues Narrowly Decisive At South End
Lawrences shut out the Boston Blues in a closely contested New Eng league game at South End. Pitchers dominated early with strong fifth inning support. Kiley homered for four bases and Conway, Be, and King contributed key infield plays. Blues offense was quiet, failing to advance a man past second base as Lawrences seized the win. In a separate Haverhill affair Manchester defeated Haverhill, aided by Thayer errors and Lally’s centerfield catch. Final scores reflect Manchester 6, Haverhill 4, and Lawrences 4, Blues 0.
