National Shear Company Faces Voluntary Bankruptcy Petition

Boston bankers file for voluntary bankruptcy against the National Shear Company known as One Shear Trust. Boston claimants total about 27 000 with notes to J C Pearson. An attachment of 9 750 was levied by Shoe and Leather National Bank. The company cites assets of 1.27 million against 301 000 liabilities including 69 000 business debts and 137 000 stockholder obligations.

Third annual commencements at St John’s Industrial School

Kane Appointed Deputy Comptroller of the Currency

Washington June 26. Thomas P. Kane is named deputy comptroller of the currency to replace Lawrence O. Murray who resigned to join a New York trust company. Kane has worked in the comptroller’s office since 1886 and served as confidential secretary to several Comptrollers including Trenholm Lacey Hepburn Eckels and Dawes.

Mrs Iselin Suffering Illness Aboard Yacht St Michaels
