Universalist Young People's Union Convention Heads to Boston

The convention runs July 10 to 14 in Boston with Rev. Irving C. Tomlinson leading the reception committee. It opens at the Church of the Unity with speakers including Governor Greenhalge Mayor Curtis and notable ministers and dignitaries from across the country. A Friday rally is planned for Faneuil Hall and overflow sessions occur daily at Shawmut Every Day Church.

Death of Mrs. Margaret Gallagher Prominent Charity Worker

Mrs. Margaret F. Gallagher died at her home 4 Billerica street yesterday at age 35 from a complication of disorders. She was active in church and charitable circles in the West End and wife of Charles Gallagher a figure in Democratic circles. Requiem will be held at St. Mary's Church Endicott and Thatcher streets in the morning with burial to follow.

Venerable Langdell Honored at Harvard Law Assembly

The Harvard Law School Association met to celebrate the twenty fifth anniversary of Dean Christopher Langdell, honoring Sir Frederick Pollock as orator. Officers, new and life memberships were announced, and James C Carter led the meeting. Pollock praised Langdell’s method, the Harvard Law Review, and the unity of English and American law, urging continued study of authorities and principles.

In New Haven Yale alumni gathered in Alumni Hall for the annual meeting led by Thomas Hooker. Judge M. P. Harvard Class Dinners Highlight Vendome Event

Harvard class of 92 held its first triennial dinner at the Vendome in Boston with about seventy five attendees. Thomas W. Lamont presided while F. W. Johnson received the class cradle and A. M. White Jr introduced toasts on topics from Poetry to Banking and coeducation. Ex-Governor Russell was slated to attend the Harvard Tl dinner but was unable to. John F. Tyler stood in as class secretary.

Mysterious Shirt and Axe Evidence in Henry Murder Case

In New York on June 2 a chemist examined William Henry's shirt collar and the short handled axe linked to the Brooklyn murder of Charles W. Henry. Microscope tests found possible blood spots but no conclusive results. Photographs of the crime scene will be enlarged for finger print comparison, and investigators quiz William's drinking history and past associates, including August Miller, to build a case.

Corpse in Box Refused by Crew on Norwester Vessel

The Norwester arrived from Melbourne with a heavy box containing the remains of Captain Killian V. R. Albertson. The crew and longshoremen refused to touch it until a stevedore prevailed. The box, including a lead coffin, was destined for burial in Maywood, Illinois, after unloading at East Boston.

Sacred Heart Graduates See Ringling Brothers Circus

A crowd of Sacred Heart parochial school graduates from East Boston attended Ringling Brothers Circus yesterday. The graduates, who had just completed their term, were chaperoned by Rev. J. P. McKane and received diplomas at a Monday graduation ceremony.

Boston Drummer Dies After Laudanum Overdose

A Boston based commercial traveller named Brown died after taking laudanum last night. Authorities are unsure if the overdose was intentional or accidental. The incident occurred in Montreal and was confirmed this morning.
