Boston and Lowell Railroad will run a Mann boudoir parlor car on the White Mountain express starting Monday from Boston at P.M. to Fabyan’s by 6 P.M., return from Fabyan’s at 10:30 P.M. to Boston by 8:40 A.M. The car, the Rigoletto, 72 by 10 feet, features divided compartments with full-window access, a ventilation system cooling air from 80 to about 66 degrees in 40 miles, and a suit of amenities including a library, buffet service, and hot and cold water in toilets.

Disagreeable Revelations in Illinois Legislature

In Springfield on June 25 the investigating committee delivered its report on charges by Mr. Haines. It notes difficulty obtaining information and that an affidavit on the floor was returned by Haines to Tubbs. Baker is said to have offered to defeat the telegraph bill for 2500 dollars and testified via Tubbs. The panel leaves truth to the house's decision. Speaker Haines defended his position, denouncing the report as an attempt to besmirch members. Baker called Tubbs an infamous liar and perjurer.
