Brilliant Class Day Lanterns Dimmed by Thunder at Harvard
A thunder shower disrupted Harvard class day festivities with 5000 Japanese lanterns lit for an illumination. Rain damaged many lanterns while bands played and thousands of graduates and guests moved between dormitories and rivers of elegance. Police and security reinforced the event, and despite weather, organizers called it one of the university’s brightest class days with extensive spreads at several houses and halls.
