Harvard Day of Days Commencement at Sanders Theatre

The Harvard class of near four hundred were conferred degrees in a grand commencement at Sanders Theatre led by President Eliot and featuring a mix of Latin to English salutations. Corbett Draws Sharkey In Four Round Ring Fight

Ten thousand witnessed the San Francisco bout at Mechanics Pavilion as Jim Corbett and Tom Sharkey fought to a draw after a rough four rounds. Sharkey required three policemen to restrain him from Corbett, and Corbett complained the match was a wrestling affair with no real fighting.

Aggressive Assault in Fall River Leaves Man in Serious Condition

Two men named William Lloyd and George Hazard were identified as attackers of Josep Mello at his boarding house on Pearl Street. A stone and rusty pipe were found nearby, believed used in the attack. Mello suffered a fractured skull and remains in serious condition.

DAR chapter visits grave of Gen Lincoln in Hingham

In Saco Missouri on June 24 a storehouse and stable owned by grocer J. Q. Sawyer collapsed this afternoon due to an overload of grain and general merchandise. The loss is estimated at over 100 dollars.
