Fireworks Factory Fire Injures Employee in Weymouth

A noon blast at FE S Hunt & Sons fireworks factory on Broad Street caused major damage to building No 4 and destroyed about 20000 feet of fuse. Fuse operator Hugh Curry leaped from a second floor window suffering facial and hand injuries. Estimated loss is around 1200 dollars with no insurance.

Cambridge master plumbers voted unanimously for an eight hour day after months of agitation. Journeymen had meetings and set July 1 as a deadline to reach agreement. Public Library committee convenes as largest group yet

The newly elected examining committee of the Public Library met in the trustees room with 32 members, 21 new. A future meeting will elect officers and name sub committees on administration, branches, books, finance, printing and catalogue.
