Memoirs of General Scott to be published in two volumes

The Intercontinental Telegraph reports Sheldon & Co of New York will publish General Scott’s Life and Times in two 12mo volumes illustrated with steel portraits. The memoir covers his rise to major general at 28, his role in the War of 1812, experiences in Europe after the war, the Aaron Burr trial, nullification in South Carolina, and the Mexican campaign as a model for later Civil War leaders.
