Mystery May be Solved In Poole Skull Injury Case
Harold Poole the 13 year old boy unconscious at City Hospital since June 2 with a badly fractured skull spoke and read yesterday. Police had suspected foul play since he was found at the corner of Marys and Mountford streets. George Champion, jailed in Maine for the Goodwin family murder, is suspected of the crime. Poole spoke briefly to his father and read in the afternoon, with plans to question him further after his condition improved. The skull injury was severe, bone pressed on the brain for two days, and recovery was doubtful.
