American tars play baseball in British waters
American torpedo boat destroyers stage a big baseball game amid a broader athletic program as sailors and Khaki troops watch. The Grays beat the Blues 15 to 2 behind a Coast League pitcher, with U S forces cheering from a green field in a coastal town. The event doubles as a morale booster and charity appeal for the Red Cross.
