London reports the official weekly U boat work showing a relief in sinkings with a lower percentage than the prior week. Five more large vessels over 1600 tons were sunk in the week ending June 20 compared with the week ending June 10.
Three children drowned yesterday in separate incidents. Arnold Hutton of Somerville and Hazel Leland of Danversport died in Alewive Brook and Crane River respectively while Ellen Nagho of Bradford perished in Mill Pond No 1 South Groveland. Hazel was four, Arnold ten, Ellen fifteen.

Harold Nelson aged 13 of Holden was fatally struck on the Worcester Holden State road when he stepped from his siblings to make way for a car and was run down by an oncoming vehicle. He died within ten minutes.
London June 2 The House of Commons approves the representation of the people bill by 291 to 25 decision that the voting age for women will be 30 as proposed in the measure.
