Harvard Money Is Covered by Yale Men
NEW LONDON Conn June 19 About the Crocker House and Hotel Mohican this evening there was much money being wagered on the race. There was much Harvard money in sight and late this evening the Yale supporters were covering all they could get at 5 to 4 odds. The prevailing odds were 6 to 5 and 5 to 4 with Yale on the short end in all but the varsity four race Harvard asked even money. A prominent Boston broker wagered 1500 to 1000 that Harvard would win the varsity race and 1900 to 700 that they would win all three races.
