About 400 people attended the semi centennial banquet in Clinton Town Hall at seven. A Salem Cadet Band played before and during the courses. Judge C. C. Stone presided with Rev. James C. Duncan as toastmaster. Notable speakers included J. W. Corcoran D. B. Ingalls H. C. Greeley David I. Walsh Wellington E. Parkhurst and others. Tuesday features a procession reviewed by Gov. Crane a 1 46 pm Town Hall program with Hoar and Gates addresses and sports followed by fireworks. Secretary of State William M. Olin will replace J J. Myers.
