Freeman T Potter of Stark Water lost a hand in a planer gear incident. The Boston and Maine depot at Newmarket was entered Tuesday night the safe blown open and 250 dollars stolen, plus a horse and buggy from a nearby farmer. At Franklin Falls on Monday night burglars entered the homes of E G Leach M G Woodward J B Virgin M Daffy F Dolloff E Calley and R M Davis with only a small sum taken.
William Ballou of East Putney drowned while bathing in the Connecticut river Sunday. The semi centennial of the Vermont Methodist seminary and female college at Montpelier will be observed on Tuesday and Wednesday July 1 and 2.
