Blood Feud in Kentucky Ends in Murder of Tom Baker
In a long running Baker Howard feud in eastern Kentucky a gunman killed Tom Baker as State troops guarded him en route to Barboursville for murder charges. Bakers and Howards, Republicans and supporters of Garrard, have fought with gangs of armed allies. Mrs Baker vowed vengeance for her husband as militia and locals feared a wider clash.
