Nantasket Beach Holiday Draws Thousands for Festive Entertainment
About 6000 people enjoyed the day at Nantasket Beach with four Boston and Hingham steamers running hourly until 9 PM. The Twilight Hall steamer and bands performed for excursionists while hotels and the skating rink added attractions. The Hotel Nantasket opened later and offered ocean views, dining, and ample promenade space. The sixth regiment band played, exhibits by Prof Livesey and child skater Allie Lawry drew cheers, and a new hard wood skating floor enhanced the rink. The day was praised for fine weather and broad enjoyment ahead of the hotel opening on the 20th.

Several thousand people enjoyed a June 17 day and evening at Oak Island with skating dancing swinging ball playing bowling and menagerie viewing. In the evening 25 electric lights of the American system illuminated the grove for the first time by Union Electric Light and Power company. The beach station is fully equipped with land patent building engines dynamos poles wires and lamps installed in three weeks.
