McLaughlin Charged With Attempting Rescue of Prisoner

Daniel McLaughlin was arrested by Division 9 officers on a charge of attempting to rescue a prisoner from Officer Hutchings. Hutchings, who had arrested Daniel Cronin for alleged excessive conduct, was attacked by several youths as Cronin was taken to custody. A stone thrown by a man Hutchings identified as McLaughlin struck him in the mouth. Cronin remained in custody.
