The Sunday Capital reports the President promised Adjutant General Johnstone Jones of North Carolina that flags taken from Southern states during the late war will be returned to those states soon. A sugar refining complex on Commercial Street and Newtown Creek burned early yesterday, obliterating six to ten story brick structures. Loss nears 1.76 million with liquid material, sugar, bone black, machinery, and fixtures, while 200 workers escaped unharmed. Insurance coverage reported.
