Havana June 11 C F W Neely who on March 2 192% was sentenced to 10 years imprisonment and fined 56701 for complicity in Cuban postal frauds was released today under a bill sent by President Palma granting amnesty to Americans convicted of crimes in Cuba during the term of the end of occupation and those awaiting release
June 11 Cambridge physician Dr. Charles H. Gray of 366 Harvard Street has confessed after reading the Post account that he may be the man described as driving the first car in a Saturday accident. Gray, a prominent Cambridge doctor with ties to Alexander Sanitarium, declined to speak further while under counsel. The admission shifts evidence to Chief Cloyes and Deputy Merrill as inquest plans proceed, with witnesses noting the Brooks horse was unsettled more by the whistle than the vehicle itself.
A massive cyclone swept central Illinois destroying buildings and crops from Livingston to McLean counties. Oscar Johnson aged 40 of 112 Kendall Street South End ended his life with a pistol in his room at about 5215 yesterday afternoon. He had been a lodger for eight months and, after losing work two months earlier, spoke of ending his troubles. Inmates heard a pistol shot shortly after 5 and found him dead with a right temple wound and a 38 caliber pistol on the floor.
A two horse barge carrying a bridal party of two overturned near Oakdale during a wedding trip to a residence reception. Injuries included a severe scalp wound to Miss Cox of Boston, fractured arms for Miss Hyde of Weymouth, and a broken nose for Mr Hancock of Boston. No fatalities reported. Driver blamed reins snagging under the pole and misnavigation in darkness.
