Market Dives in Dull Wednesday Trading
A sluggish stock session turned semi panicky as long stocks fell with no clear cause. Old Dominion mine and smelter led a Broad decline while Boston & Montana and Tamarack also slipped. American Bell declared a regular dividend with extras. Legal notices and corporate moves, including Bay State and Bay State gas tensions, added to the day’s unsettled tone.
