Gambling on Steamships Sparks Public Protest
A reader from Waverley Mass voices support for Captain Kennedy's crusade against gambling on steamships. He notes frequent, un concealed betting aboard Atlantic crossings, urges strong public action, and argues against tolerating low stake gambling as a precursor to high stakes. He cautions officials and ship lines, praising Kennedy's exposure of the issue. The letter closes with a note on Montserrat Lime Fruit Juice as a summer refreshment.
