She has two grandmothers and three great grandmothers including Julia Brinkman born 1824 in Elizabethtown New York and Julia Ostigny born in Elizabethtown. The infant is daughter to a 17 year old mother Angnette Havens of Foster Rhode Island.

Dorchester Historical Society accepts two 250 year old oaken doors once from the Governor Hancock House. Deacon George W. Fowle of Jamaica Plain presents the relics during a patriotic observance. Fowle recalls buying the doors at auction fifty years ago to honor New England’s Colonial days.

Malden Boy Cared For After Buffalo Detour
Everett Mason a sixteen year old from Malden Massachusetts rode a blind baggage car from Boston to Buffalo penniless and starving. He told Detective Sergeant Zimmerman his tale at the police station and was taken to headquarters for aid and questioning. He said he arrived last Wednesday and had taken eight dollars from his father before wandering. The boy’s Buffalo relatives include an uncle on Tupper street who agreed to fetch him home.
