Yesterday afternoon in Somerville a horse drawn wagon sped through Union square with John Doherty and his two children on board. Doherty allegedly drove recklessly under the influence, causing a child to be thrown to the rear. Officer Miller stopped the horse after a half mile, and Doherty was arrested for reckless driving.

Patrolmen Stone and Butters stopped a break in at 14 Tremont street, arresting Frank M. Smith who claimed Washington street address.
