London June 5 Mr Childers chancellor of the exchequer announced in the house of commons that the extra duty on spirits is fixed at a shilling a gallon. He said this reduction would cost the public revenue about 1 1 2 million dollars yearly. The beer duty remains until May 31 1886 with no other budget changes. Two youths clash. man stabbed, other flees in city
Edward Manuel and Morris Swan, both 20 and colored, argued near 60 Kendall Street at 12:30 this morning. Manuel drew a sharp weapon and stabbed Swan twice once in the head side and once in the left breast.
