Lightning Strikes Hit Girls Room At Stockbridge Event

A bolt struck the Overmead country house in Stockbridge tearing a brass chandelier from the wall and starting a fire in Miss Amy M Kohlsaat s room. Both Kohlsaat and her sister Edith escaped unharmed though stunned, as 100 volunteers battled flames. Fire damaged furniture and rugs with losses around 1000 dollars. Suffragette Knocks Down King's Horse in Race

A suffragette rider Miss Davidson was knocked unconscious after her horse trod near the king's horse in a race. Jockey Jones recovered and the horse escaped harm as police removed the pair.
