Boston University to Build $100 000 Coed Center

The Rev. William F. Warren announced at the Liberal Arts alumni reception that Boston University will acquire a new $100 000 building on Somerset Street and Ashburton Place for class rooms and lecture halls. The Twentieth Century Club currently occupies the site. Warren will become dean of the Theological School with a year’s leave, and Rev. William E. Huntington was named acting president.

Bates Attends Boston University Graduation Exercises

Governor Bates attended Boston University graduation ceremonies at Tremont Temple as students in black gowns received diplomas. The event featured Brigadier-General Dewey as orator and Professor Moulton of Chicago University as speaker, with Warren’s resignation effective and Buell named acting dean.

Ladies' Unity Club Meets in Winthrop Centre

The June gathering of the Ladies' Unity Club met Tuesday at Hotel Loring Winthrop Centre with a large turnout. Mrs W W Main of Melrose led the social program and awards went to Mrs Jacob Huber Dorchester for prowess and Mrs L F E D Currier Roxbury for an impromptu reading. An invitation was extended for a rose luncheon on June 16 at Mrs Frank Wuary's home 767 Commonwealth Avenue.

Watch and chain presented to local graduate at Charlestown home

William J. Noonan, a recent graduate of the training ship Enterprise, received a gold watch and chain with a Knights of Columbus charm at 55 Decatur Street Charlestown. The gift was given by friends with a speech by Mr. J Ahearn. Noonan will soon work in Mansfield at the Walter M Lowney plant. entertainment came from Miss Margaret Ahearn and Mrs I Everett.

Senator Foster Is Censured In Massachusetts Senate

Centenary Meeting of New England Catholic Historical Society

The annual meeting at St. Cecilia's vestry featured Very Rev. William Byrne as president with Bishop O Connell and other clergy in attendance. Officers were elected and membership set at 3 dollars. thirty new members joined, and a 100th anniversary commemoration committee was formed.

Graduation Day at Annie Coolidge Rust Kindergarten

Flora Sxeene of Bourne and four other girls graduated from the Annie Coolidge Rust Kindergarten Normal School on Beacon Street in a Woolson Hall ceremony. Harvard Dean Briggs Discards Crutches
