Disorder broke out in several city sections as late night car service resumed amid the strike of rapid transit workers. Cars were held up stoned and burned. women joined rioters dragging workers from vehicles while police faced the crowds.
Thousands of workers gathered after nightfall as City Hall announced evening car service. Crowds jeered and attacked trolleys, police clashed with rioters, cars were burned, and several officers were assaulted. Hospitals treated numerous injuries in several districts. Worcester Massachusetts dispatch reports George Clinton Childs a 76 year old Civil War veteran married Annetta Adams 54 in Oxford at the groom's Main street home. It is the bride's second marriage and the groom's third with the couple noting love at first sight. Adams arrived March 15 to become housekeeper after Childs' prior wife died about a year earlier.
