Western Massachusetts Street Railway Bill Defeated in House
The Western Massachusetts Street Railway bill failed 95 to 73 in the House on ordering a third reading. The measure aimed to consolidate western railways into a single company and allow stock watering, with proponents calling it safe and necessary for hill communities.
