Joseph P Curry and his wife were arrested after Miss Margaret Padden lay critically injured with a fractured skull at her Davis street lodging house. Witnesses say Curry and wife forced Padden to the floor and placed her on a couch. police fear murder if she dies. Curry, nicknamed Bull Curry, and his wife deny the charges and claim Padden fell.
