A man who gave the name Herbert Rikeman of 42 Pearl Avenue Beachmont was captured at 1 am in Chelsea after revolvers were forced to his face during an attempted highway robbery. He surrendered as officers closed in, ending what is described as the department’s most sensational capture in years.
Dr. R F Chase reports his wife Mrs. Chase aged 38 39 in poor health died on the kitchen floor at 143 Mason Terrace Brookline last evening. He said cause for the medical examiner to decide and declined further comment.

After a day of struggle the conferees approved the conference report and sent notices to Democratic members to be present at 10 o clock today to approve or disapprove. The report heads to the House at noon and may be printed immediately for a Saturday vote. Senate action likely to take about a week.
