In Manila two day fiesta organized by Senor Paterno to honor amnesty drew passive crowds. Judge Taft and commission members declined attendance due to expected pro independence speeches. Security was tight as flags were banned. overall color of the event was failure with widespread casualties: 180 Filipinos killed, 10 Americans killed, 14 wounded, 60 prisoners, 40 rifles captured.

William T. McCormack aged 18 was arrested yesterday afternoon after leaving M. P. Bot liquor store at 492 494 Washington Street with two bottles of whiskey and a bottle of rum. He was held at Station 13 on the theft charge.

Burglar Steals Council Badges From City House

A house at 94 Worcester Street was entered while the occupants were away. Thieves forced a back door and ransacked the premises, taking a lady's gold watch a pair of Roman gold earrings set with six pearls and two Common Council badges Nos. 74 and 76. The theft was not discovered until last night.

Philadelphia rescuer saves man from harbor drowning

Alfred Sorensen of Philadelphia, on a fishing trip anchored in the lower harbor, jumped into the water to save John Nagle of East Boston after he fell overboard. Sorensen held Nagle afloat until the tug Elsie, accompanying a pleasure party, rescued them.

Cambridge Cuba teachers to be paid July salaries

Clan MacLaughlin Outing on the Leader Steam Tug

The annual Clan Mac Laughlin outing aboard the steam tug Leader drew many clansmen and friends to a Boston lightship voyage. Sailing at 9 a m, prizes were awarded for first, largest, smallest, and most fish caught to Patrick McCarthy John McGrath Michael Burns and the commodore. Body found on Commonwealth flats in South Boston

The unidentified man was found noon yesterday on the Commonwealth flats near C street, South Boston. Taken to City Hospital morgue, he measures about 6 feet 7 inches, 150 pounds, with sandy complexion and gray mixed hair. Clothing includes brown check coat, striped trousers, lace shoes, and rail road receipts for J. A. Stubbs. Possible employee of a fish dealer on Atlantic avenue.

Miss Itha Merrill, a 19 year old Manchester native, has gained notice as a premier artist’s model. She posed for bas-relief figures for New York square and plans a bronze eighteen foot high sculpture for the Pan American Exposition in Buffalo. Man Denies Marring 16 Year Old In Boston Bigamy Case

John F Kimball a well known but repeatedly married man was arrested in Lynn and brought to Boston by Inspectors Cleary and Doug lass on an executive Vermont warrant. Deputy Julius F Lamgon of Randolph Vermont signed the complaint of Kimball s first wife. Kimball is said to have at least one other wife in Boston and another possibly in a third location. The Vermont wife sues for divorce and alimony while the Boston wife also seeks a ruling.

The man known as Kimball is said to hold valuable property and confessed false identity when arrested. Letters addressed to John F. Kimball were found on him, and he admitted his true name to inspectors while en route to Boston. He married Lilian Stoddard in 1893 and Alice Reed in 1897, with a third wife believed.

Charles Whitney 51 of the Hotel Tennyson died of heart failure at City Hospital after being found at Tremont and Boylston streets. Joseph F. Collins 30 of 8 Myrtle Street fractured both bones in his left leg when he fell while fooling with a friend on Avery Street and was taken to City Hospital by police ambulance from Station 4.
