Burglars Flee Malden After Night Drug Store Raids
Burglars visited three Malden drug stores between 3 and 4 am. P F O’Hare’s on Pleasant near Medford line was entered with false keys and cigars valued at 40 and $20 in cash were taken. A rear window was broken but no entry there. W L McGarr’s on Highland avenue saw a window broken, the intruder fled as the night clerk awoke. Keeney’s pharmacy at Charles and West streets also was entered but a barking dog frightened the entry. A jimmy and hatchet were found near a broken window. Police were notified but thieves not yet located.
