General Boulanger's return to Paris after his wound drew a large crowd in the Bois du Boulogne. Sixteen carriages followed his conveyance with reporters and admirers shouting affections toward him and calling for Floquet and Ferry to go down. Saratoga July 27 extra racing day drew a light crowd. Banner Bearer won the first race amid rain and heavy track, times listed. Jubal won the second race for two year olds, with Sintrum second. Alaho led mud specialists to win the third. Bopeep upset the fourth, time 1.47. Voltigeur won the hurdle race plus suspensions of jockeys announced by starter Wheatley.
