Yellow Fever Cured In First U S Serum Trial

Health Officer Dr. Alvah H. Doty reports Oscar F. Lackey, a yellow fever patient from Santiago Cuba, cured after subcutaneous serum treatment at Swinburne Island Hospital. Lackey arrived aboard the McClelland and was discharged July 4 after three injections totaling 100 cubic centimeters. Further observation and data will be published in the New York Medical Record. one case cannot prove serum value.
