Important developments in the big war game are on today with expected battles or skirmishes between cavalry and infantry as scouting and outpost duties unfold. Operations appear to target Newburyport as the Red Army holding Boston seeks to retain Newburyport.
Brigadier General William A. Pew commands 3000 Red army troops expected to move toward Newburyport at dawn. The force was encamped at Lake Suntang in Lynnfield last night. The Blue army, tasked with recapturing Boston, departed Billerica yesterday morning and set camp near the State Hospital in Tewksbury, about half a mile from the main buildings.
Mr. George W. Pepper offers $500 to Mrs. May Pepper Vanderbilt to prove she was ever his wife. He revived the question in a letter to the Post, challenging the marriage claim and inviting proof of the union.

Gavet and Porter’s firm dissolved a week ago, Alexander S Porter Jr taking over. $69,000 in negotiable securities vanished. Gavet claimed to have handed them to John G Hardy of Worcester for a loan. Porter later directed their return, but Hardy vanished. Police mounted a search in Worcester. no trace found. Attorney Stoughton Bell leads the Porter interests. Gavet resides in Danvers with wife and daughter.
Two 12 year old boys were blown from Hull Gut to sea during yesterday’s fierce wind storm. Exhausted and nearly swamped, they were saved by local lobstermen who picked them up and brought them ashore.
Lester Morey and Harold Burnham, starting from Houghs Neck, were caught in a gale while towing a drifting yacht. After hours of fronting the wind and rising water, a lobster man spotted them near Hull Gut and towed them to safety at Peddock's Island.

London July 24 The parliamentary revolution culminated as the House of Commons refused to listen to a speech by the Prime Minister for the first time in history. Speaker invoked the rule to adjourn amid grave disorder as Asquith faced jeers and threats like traitor and American dollars. He pressed on briefly, then refused to degrade himself and stated the government’s conclusion.
The outburst centered on Lord Hugh Cecil and F. E. Smith, with Will Crooks reacting from the benches as cries resounded. The Labor member, in rough clothes, rose several times as though to strike, only to be restrained. The Speaker urged decorum amid the tumult.
John J. Gleason of San Francisco, fight promoter and part owner of the San Francisco baseball club, signed a contract last night at the Boston club offices to join President Russell and Secretary Mur in big league circles as a magnate. Continued on page 10 second column.
