Auto kills well known Grand Army man in Mattapan
Orrin Whitton of Avignon in eastern Massachusetts, a prominent Grand Army man, was struck by an automobile in Mattapan Square yesterday afternoon. He died four hours later at Cit Hospital. Annie H. Tucker of West Somerville was also run over and injured seriously in the chest and abdomen. The vehicle was owned and driven by George H. Toothacher of Dedham.
