The Book of Bar gains Senator Chandler replies
In a six column leader Senator Chandler denounces Dr Gallinger and Sulloway attacks from 1889 to 1891. He calls the charge of personal hostility baseless and a deliberate device to shield his own lobbyist earnings and railroad influence. He asserts Gallinger sought to ruin him with false bribery charges and remains silent on past crimes.

Regional tales differ from Boston to Cincinnati, with better wool and leather activity but persistent money tightness and a year-on-year rise in business failures to 254 across the U.S. and Canada.
