William L. Roberts, assistant to the general manager at Fore River Shipbuilding, was killed when his car toppled at Main and Derby streets in South Weymouth shortly after 11 last night. The other occupant, S P Goddard of Quincy, escaped with minor injuries.

The White House and Navy Department had no word from the vessel since its departure, and it is believed the President is resting after two weeks of intense work. The Mayflower is expected to dock at the navy yard around seven tomorrow morning.
