Money Market Mixed as Clearing House Rates Steady

The Money Market notes a steady tone with the old 6 percent rate at the Clearing House and New York funds in fair demand but cheaper. Time loans run 4 1 4 to 6 4 2 percent with call loans at 6 to 7 percent. balances at 6 percent and New York funds at 10 to 20 cents discount on 1000. Clearing House exchanges total 15,956,103, vs 15,027,018 last year. week totals 98,420,490 vs 94,523,758. In New York, gross exchanges 105,596,828 with balances 5,634,988. U S treasury debtor 538,120. Weekly comparisons show varied figures across the prior four weeks and balances, with a notable increase of 25,850 to 738,505 in some lines.
