Telephone hearings reveal new phone company mysteries

He questioned a mysterious B book alleged to show free service receivers and hinted at a Subway Construction Company of New York deal worth millions. Whitman pressed for scrutiny of John H. Lee and the so called Farmer Lee while alleging subscriber funds were wasted, masking graft beyond the company’s $10,000 admission.
