Morrocco Crosser Attempts Suicide at Dangersport

Peter T. Mead a 35 year old morocco crosser labored under temporary insanity and jumped from the wharf at the iron mills into the river at Dangersport yesterday. He was rescued by bystanders and taken home on River street. He then tried to jump from a second story window but escaped serious injury. Fire damages multiple city properties in last evening blaze

A fire at dwelling No 18 Spring Street owned by Dr. Thomas L Jenks caused a small alarm from Box 6. Building No 16 South Eden Street Charlestown sustained 300 damage from a fire that started in the upper story occupied by Avery Manufacturing Company. A fire set by boys playing with matches damaged 188 Pynchon Street by 100. A Smith Street Brighton barn owned by Andrew Thompson and used by W C Potter was damaged 150 by a fire of unknown cause.

Peabody Stabbing Case Before Salem Court

Alfred K. Hayward of Peabody faced Judge Stillman in Salem court on a charge of assault with intent to kill Osborn Richardson at Law's shoe factory in Peabody last Saturday. Hayward pleaded not guilty and claimed self defense. He was held to await grand jury action in September.
